Hx of 2nd/ 3rd degree HB sick sinus syndrome w/o pacemaker Carbamazepine (tegretol) active bronchospasm heart transplant
What are the contraindications of amioderone?
cardiogenic shock
marked sinus brady w/ 2nd or 3rd degree blocks
Atropine in RSI for children under 2 is?
0.02mg/kg IV IO minimum dose 0.1mg Max dose 0.5mg
What are the doses of Cacl2?
Adult: Ca channel blocker: 1g Slow IV/ IO
hyperkalemia: 1g Slow IV/ IO
Cardizem induced: 500mg Slow IV/ IO
Pedi: Ca channel blocker: 20mg/kg Slow Iv/IO max dose 1g.
What are the contraindications for Cardizem?
WPW heart blocks hypotension sick sinus syndrome Wide complex QRS
What is the pedi dose for the cyanokit?
70mg/kg IV/IO over 15min. Max single dose 2.5g over 7.5 min.
Max dose 5g.
What is the dose of dextrose in pedi and neonates?
Pedi: 5ml/kg IV/ IO may repeat 1x. Max single dose 100ml
Neonate< 30 days: 5ml/kg IV IO
What are the contraindications for dopamine?
Hypotension due to blood loss
pheochromocytoma
what precautions should be taken with dopamine?
do not administer in same line as NaHco3
decrease dose by 1/10th for persons on MAOI’s
