What are the immediate effects of exercise?
A
- You will feel hotter, as your body temp increases.
- You will sweat and your skin will redden (face) - body’s temp control system.
- You will breathe more deeply and frequently as your body delivers more oxygen to the working muscles.
- Your heart rate will increase, as your heart works harder to deliver oxygen.

What are the short-term effects of exercise?
A
- You will feel tired (possibly very fatigue).
- You may feel light-headed.
- You may feel nauseous.
- You may experience muscles cramps.
- Your muscles will ache a little.
- You may experience DOMS if your exercise was high intensity.

What are the long-term effects of exercise?
A
- Your body will change shape (lose weight).
- Your resting heart rate will lower.
- Your stamina will improve.
- Your muscles will get bigger and produce greater strength.
- Your heart size will increase.
- You will see improvements in specific components of fitness.

A
When a muscle is trained, small tears are created. As they heal they become thicker.
