- Do not separate immediate family from the rear of the casket coach- also in walking processions.
- Do not separate active casket bearers from in front of the casket coach. Sometimes pall bearers wish to be with their families.
- Observe state and local laws covering funeral procession- police escourt.
- Proper placement of clergy in lead car

- Have police department post no parking signs wherever necessary

- Support lumbar, including 4X4 timbers

Equipment Needed to Accompany Interment, Inurnment, Entombment. (In some areas the funeral home is required to supply these items)
- Determine the direction the casket will be placed on the lowering device (head or foot first)
- Seat the family and be able to coordinate a variety of rites
- Dismissal procedures for leaving the grave site should be according to the family’s wishes.
