- PC Withdraw

A
  • Narcotic withdrawal: combative, vomiting, nausea, sweating, tachycardia and hypertension
  • Convulsions
  • Pulmonary oedema.

Dosing Regimes of Naloxone?

A

IM
- Adults = 1.6-2mg IM, repeating 10minutely as required to a max of 4mg
- Paeds = 0.1mg/kg IM, single dose only with a maximum total of 2mg

IV
- Adults = 0.1mg IV, repeating 2 minutely until pt self-ventilating to a max of 2mg IV
