Anterior compartment (superficial): Extensor digitorum longus
O: Lateral condyle of tibia
I: Along dorsal surface of the four lateral toes. Each tendon divides, to attach to bases of middle and distal phalanges
N: Deep fibular(peroneal) nerve (L5,S1)
B: Branch of popliteal artery: the anterior tibial artery
A: Extends lateral four toes and dorsiflexes foot
Anterior compartment (superficial): Tibialis anterior
O: Lateral condyle of tibia and adjacent interosseous membrane
I: medial cunieform and on base of first metatarsal
N: Deep fibular nerve, L4,5
B: branches of anterior tibial artery.
A: Dorsiflexes foot at ankle joint. Inverts foot. Dynamic support of medial arch of foot.

B: Anterior tibial artery, branch of the popliteal artery
A: Dorsiflexion of ankle, eversion of ankle
Lateral compartment: Fibularis longus
O: Head of fibula
I: Medial cuneiform and base of 1st metatarsal
N: Superficial fibular nerve
B: Fibular artery which is a branch of the posterior tibial artery
A: Plantarflexion of ankle, Eversion of ankle, Supports transverse arch

A: Weak plantaflexion of ankle. Weak knee flexion.

O: Head and superior 1/4 of fibula.

I: Navicular tuberosoity, cuneiforms, cuboid, 2-4 metatarsals
N: Tibial nerve L4, 5, S1
B: Branches posterior tibial artery stems from popliteal artery
A: Plantar flexion of ankle. Inversion of ankle

O: Inferior 2/3 of posterior fibula and interosseous membrane
I: Plantar aspect of distal phalanx 1
N: Tibial nerve
B: Posterior tibial artery, fibular artery
A: Plantarflexion or ankle. Flexion of great toe.

Nerves: Tibial nerve
Vessels: popliteal artery and vein
Lymph nodes: superficial and deep popliteal lymph nodes
