Extends the head and flexes the head to one side

Lie superficially between ribs and elevate the ribs during inspiration
External intercostals
Flexes and adducts the upper arm like when climbing or hugging
-Pectoralis major
-front of chest
Abducts flexes and rotates the arm
-Deltoid
-On top of the shoulder
Adducts the humerus extends the arm backward
Latissimus dorsi
-mid and lower back
Prime mover when flexing the forearm
-Brachialis
-outside top part of arm
Assists the brachialis when flexing the forearm
Biceps brachii
Prime mover when extending the forearm
-Triceps brachii
-posterior top of arm
Helps the brachialis and the biceps brachii flex the forearm
Brachioradialis
The longest muscle in the body. Aids in flexion of the hip and knee and abducts and laterally rotates the thigh
-Sartorius
-across the front of the thigh
Rotate and draw the thigh in toward the body
Adductor muscles
Prime mover for knee extension
-Quadriceps femoris
-front top of leg
Abducts and rotates the thigh outward
Gluteus medius
Assists gluteus medius in abducting the thigh
Gluteus minimus
Extend the thigh at the hip flex the knee and rotate the leg
-Hamstrings
-back of thigh
