Flexion
Bending a joint so as to decrease the angle of the joint
Extension
Straightening a joint increasing the angle of a joint
Hyperextension
The extreme extension of a joint beyond it’s normally straight position
Dorsiflexion
Moving the toes or foot upward
Plantar flexion
Moving the toes or foot downward
Abduction
The movement of a body part away from the midline
Adduction
The movement of a body part toward the midline
Circumduction
The distal end of an appendage moves in a circle
Internal rotation
Occurs when a bone spins towards the bodies midline
External rotation
Occurs when a bone spoons away from the bodies midline
Supination
A movement that turns the palm upward
Pronation
A movement that turns the palm downward 
Inversion
A foot movement that turns the soul medially toward the other foot
Eversion
A foot movement that turns the soul laterally away from the other foot
Protraction
Moving the jaw forward
