Aminoglycosides interactions

Loop diuretics increase risk of ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity
risk of cdiff
Quinolones
Drugs that prolong QT interval or cause arrythmias
Macrolides
Quinolones
antiarrythmiacs
amitriptyline
drugs causing ototoxicity
Aminoglycosides
vancomycin
risk increases with diuretics if mixed with either of above
Avoid aspirin in
nasal polyps
Dont use these drugs in asthmatics
Beta blockers
adenosine - antiarrythmatic
Tricyclic antidepressants overdose
dilated pupils
ECG - broad complex tachycardia
Atropine
An antimuscuranic given IV usually to increase heart rate
Beta blockers side effect
Causes erectile impotence
lethargy drowsiness
hypotension
diuretics
abuse of diuretics results in metabolic alkalosis
drugs causing Hyperkalaemia
ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor blockers
spironolactone
heparin
ciclosporin
ACE side effects
hyperkalaemia
angioedema
