A

Insulin drive K cells into cells (for hyperkalemia)

but as soon as insulin is stopped K leak out of cell

so this is a temporary measure while other Rx of hyperkalemia are being done

Rapid acting: rapid eg (Novorapid)

short acting: soluble insuling (Actrapid)

Intermediate acting: Humlin I

Long acting: eg Lantus

Biphasic Insulin: mixture of rapid and intermediate (eg Novomix)
