What was the procedure of the study?
-participants watched a video of a girl stealing money from a wallet
-tested in a control group or in pairs
-the pairs were told they watched the same video but they had seen different perspectives of the same crime (only 1 witnessed the girl stealing)
What did the study find?
-71% recalled information they hadn’t seen
-60% said the girl was guilty even if they hadn’t seen the girl commit the crime
What were some strengths to the study?
-highly controlled
