Lesson 14: Chapter 96: Exercises A: Practice and Review Flashcards
In that day we drank wine and ate bread, but you (pl.) fled into the desert and prayed.
The disciples saw the signs of heaven and fell on their faces.
The prophet saw the lord on the throne and spoke to him about the reign of God.
You (sing.) found the way of truth in the temple and became a servant of righteousness, but I did not wish to listen.
The sisters came to the teacher and offered their gifts.
The eyes of the Lord will see both your (sing.) deeds and your heart.
We saw that the apostle was healing those children, and you also will see the same signs.
We will not eat in the house of sinners, but we received bread and wine in the place of the righteous.
Our brother did not drink the wine, for he wanted to offer it in the temple.
And the man said, “Stones fell from heaven, but the people did not believe, nor did they gather together the children into the houses.”
We dismissed the evil crowd, for we were approaching the throne of glory.
Your (pl.) son came to me and brought the books of the law.
The demons took the garments of the angels and threw them into the sea.
I myself led the children out of the assembly, for you (sing.) did not have the authority to teach them.
In that hour we fled from the face (or presence) of God’s messenger, but now we are fleeing from sin.
