Optimizing learning

A
  1. Too much verbal instruction is bad, people who figure it out learn faster. Better to use analogies, implicit learning, Errorless learning (very small steps)
  2. External focus is better (eg focus on the ball or focus on the arm-swing)
  3. Blocked context is better for beginners, random better for advanced (varying circumstances)
  4. Self-efficacy leads to better learning
  5. Self-regulation accelerates motor learning
