it’s NOT running a marathon or bench-pressing etc. That’s endurance and strength

- Effectiveness: accuracy and consistency in achieving goal
- Efficacy: Automaticity and fluent movement
- Avoiding performance decrements due to social pressure.

Optimizing learning
A
- Too much verbal instruction is bad, people who figure it out learn faster. Better to use analogies, implicit learning, Errorless learning (very small steps)
- External focus is better (eg focus on the ball or focus on the arm-swing)
- Blocked context is better for beginners, random better for advanced (varying circumstances)
- Self-efficacy leads to better learning
- Self-regulation accelerates motor learning
