Deliberate play
Form of sporting act that involves early developmental physical activities that are intrinsically motivating, provide immediate gratification and are designed to maximize enjoyment.
Early specialization
Can cause loss of enjoyment and overuse injuries.
It’s mostly early multidisciplinary practice that led to later high performance and greater sustainability
Leadership behaviour model
Reactive behaviour:
- Reactions to desirable action is reinforced
- Reaction to mistakes is punishment, ignorance, technical instruction
- Reactions to unwanted behaviour is maintaining order
Spontaneous behaviour

- Positive coaching (feedback, no punishment/negativity)
- Develop norms for cooperation
- Clear rules for behaviour
- Make sure you have adequate self-image
