If m change their attitude to messages of prophets and practises- may lose their faith

All religions believe marriage is for life, but recognise some marriages break down- try to balance ethical arguments between sanctity of their marriage values and compassion for people whoes marriage broken down
Many would say promised made before god sacred and never be broken
Other say some circumstances when more compassionate to allow divorce
All religions try to help couples that are having [prblems- eeg. Offering counseeling, prayer, support of community
Most non-religiojs accept divorce and remarriage from practical pov
Utilitarian position- if divorce caused least harm in situation- morally right
Athiests and humanists- didnt believe moral promises made before god- up to couple to decide on future of their relationship
Main priority of religious and non religous people is wellbeing of any children involved

Couple must wait 3 months - iddah- live together , no sex, to ensure not pregnant- if so wait

Wife can apply to court to forece her husband to issue the divroce
