Soft tissue injury
They can be overstreched or tear a tendon,ligaments, muscles and cartliage
Sprains
A sprain is ligament damage. Happens by twisting or overstreching past the range of a joint
Strain
Is a twist, tear or overstretched muscle or tendon
Torn cartliage
Cartliage is a firm elastic substance which lines adjoining bones. It occurs due wear and tear from long term overuse.
Fractures
A fracture is a cracked or broken bone
Dislocations
When a bone at a joint is forced out of its normal position
Abrasions
Can be caused by frictions of the skin against a rough surface
Concussion
An impact to the head which causes uncounscouness, confussion or memory loss
How can soft tissue injuries occur
They can be a tear, overstreched tendons or ligaments
How can strains occur
inflamed due to overuse
How can a torn cartliage occur
Occurs due to wear and tear from long tem overuse
How can fractures occur
Falls, car accidents
How to dislocations occur
Occurs as a result of a hard blow which causes bones to be displaced
How can abrasions occur
Occur from a tackle of falling over
