What is the imperative mood?
It is a form of the verb used when giving orders and instructions
Shut the door!, Sit down!
Conjugate in the imperative mood
holen (to fetch)
- hol(e)! (du form)
- holt! (ihr form)
- holen Sie! (sie form)
There are 3 forms of the imperative (du, ihr and Sie)
Translate to German
Listen!
Hör zu!
The -st is dropped in the du form
Translate to German
Get it!
Hol es!
The -st is dropped in the du form
Translate to German
Open the door!
Öffne die Tür!
The -e of the du form is dropped, except where the the stem ends in fn

The relexive pronoun comes immediately after the verb
