aetiology of gallstone?

A
  • gallstone impaction at terminal ileum
    • stone causes pressure necrosis of gall bladder wall & goes into small intestine

AXR–> SBO, air in biliary tree, stone might be seen

  • no pain as no peristalsis
  • dead silent abdo

  • AXR
    • dilated small loops of bowel
  • CT
    • dilated small bowel loops w no transition point

  • treat underlying cause
