- most common in 50-70

- wt loss
- abdo pain
- dysphagia (if tumour proximal/ in GOJ)
- dyspepsia
- early satiety
- N&V

A
- epigastric mass
If mets:
- hepatomegaly or palpable virchows node

- endoscopy w biopsy
- CT chest /abdo to stage

- Direct- spread to surrounding structures
- Lymphatic- spread to regional lymph nodes
- Blood spread- Liver
- Transcoelomic spread- spread within peritoneal cavity

what is a complication post gastrectomy?
A
“dumping syndrome”
when stomach empties its contents into duodenum faster than normal, also known as rapid gastric emptying. People experience symptoms like nausea and abdominal cramping

v poor –> 5 year survival less than 20%
