huck finds a wagon with
tom sawyer in it
tom thinks that huck is a ghost that is
haunting him
huck tells tom that he wasn’t murdered to begin with, at first Tom is
incredulous
tom wants to learn about everything that’s happened to huck but huck tells him to
wait
huck tells tom about what happened with his aunt Sally and Silas and tom tells huck to take his
bags and pretend that it belongs to Huck
tom says that he would turn up about 20 mins after Huck returns to the house and that huck should pretend
not to know tom
huck tells tom that he’s trying to steal jim out of slavery and tom says that he’ll
help huck
huck warns tom to remember that if they hear anything about a runaway slave, that neither of them
know anything about him
huck forgets to drive the wagon slowly and gets back home
too quickluy
silas now thinks highly of he horse that
huck took
tom arrives and pretends that he’s looking for
archibald nichols
silas says that his driver deceived him and tom looks back and says that his driver is
already gone
silas and sally invite tom in. tom claims that he’s from
hicksville, ohio
tom says that his name is
william thompson
after inventing a bunch of stories, tom kisses his aunt on the mouth and says that everybody said
she would like it
aunt sally is furious and tom says he won’t do it again until she asks him, and this makes her
even more angry
tom then asks silas if he thinks she would’ve like it and he
stutters and says no
tom asks huck the same question but mentions that he’s
sid sawyer
aunt sally then tries to hug tom, thinking that he’s sid and that he just tried to
trick her into thinking he was someone else
tom says that he and huck planned to suprise sally and silas by having tom
arrive first and then sid follow
the whole day tom and huck didn’t hear anything about a
runaway slave
finally, one of the little boys aks if tom and sid and he could go the show, but then silas mentions that the runaway told him about the
show being a scandal
after supper, tom and huck claim that they’re tired and they climb out of the window and
head toward town to warn the duke and king
on the road, tom tells huck about all that happened concerning huck’s supposed
murder, pap’s disappearance, and jim’s running away
huck tells tom about the … and about some their.. on the raft
royal nonesuch; adventures
the duke and king had been
tarred and feathered
they were followed by a crowd of people with … who were
torches; yelling, banging tin pans,a nd blowing horns
huck feels bad for the
two men
a straggler tells huck and tom that the crowd went to the show, pretending to be ignorant, and then someone gave a signal and they all got up and
went for the men
huck feels guilty for what
happened to the king and duke
