Sheperdsons and Huck says no
the man tells Huck to walk slowly toward the door and open it just enough to let
Huck in
After Huck and the people in the house stare at each other the man says that Huck can
come in
One of the men in the house checks if Huck is armed and then he tells him to make himself at
home and tell them about himself
the wife says that huck is wet and is likely hungry, so she has her slave get
food for Huck
there’s a kid around Huck’s age named
Buck
the wife tells Buck to give huck some of his
clothes so that Huck won’t be wet
buck gives Huck clothes and says that Huck should stya and that they would
have fun together
Huck’s story for the family is that his family lives ona
farm in Arkansas
According to Huck, his sister Mary Ann ran away and got
married
According to Huck, Bill went to find his sister and then Bil wasn’t
heard of again
Huck’s imaginary family members, Tom and Mort,
died
Huck was only left with his pap but then his pap
died
huck also claims that he took his belongings and left because the farm wasn’t
owned by his family
huck wakes up the next morning and forgets what his
story was
when buck wakes up, huck asks him to spell his name so that Huck would
remember what he said his name was
the house was nicer than any
huck had seen
there were a bunch of pictures in the house that had
women and captions relating to death
The family’s daughter, Emmeline, could write any poetry so long as it was
sad
