- During 2020 the gender pay gap fell to 7.4 within full time work however, the overall category for gender pay gap was 15.4
- (ONS 2013) women’s employment has been rising for the last 40 years and men’s employment has been falling overall.

- There are 260,000 NEET’s in the uk who are young people, 158,000 of which are men and 102,000 are women (ONS 2020)
- 18.2 of females that were eligible for FSM were earning above the living wage
- Girls, overall, are more likely to achieve a grade 5 or above in English and maths for GCSE (data for gcse attainment 2019/20 - S. gov.uk)

Family life

- On average men do 16 hours a week of unpaid work whereas women do 26 hours. Men only do more hours of unpaid work in the provision of transport.
- The average full-time student does just 12 hours of unpaid work per week compared with the average mother on maternity leave who does 60.
- People on lower incomes tended to carry out more unpaid work than other income brackets, with the exception of transport.

- Only 30% of the main characters from CBeebies programmes were women.
- Prime-time dramas retained a 60/40 ratio of men to women in speaking parts. A similar trend was found in sports and mainstream news coverage.
- Any studies of traditional representations of men and women in the media (Tuchman, Ferguson, Easthorpe etc.)
