3- respondents were asked their attachment type by answer 3 question about the theory felt towards PAF infancy.
what were the finding of this
56% of the participants who had secure attachment type had positive and loving relationship.
24% of the participant who had developed insecure avoidant feared intimacy and jealousy.
how’s the limitation of this study is that its makes the use of retrospective data.
because participants were asked to recall their feelings towards their primary attachment figure. it Ould have been tats the had not recalled it accurately. this is a limitation because it would of participant didn’t recall its accurately it could confound the result therefore the explanation will lack validity and decades internal validity.
how’s the limitation is that its socially desirably baised
because participants were asked to think about the number of romantic parteners they had and to think about the feeling towards the primary attachment figure this is limitation because participants could have lied maybe because they waned to tell how many partners the had or the negative relation they had with with care-giver. which would then confound the result and decrees the internal validity of the study.
how is the strength of the theory that early attachment influences relationships later in life is supported by a research
because McCarty found out secure attached children are tend to ahem goof positive relation with their romantic partner and friends as well. this is a strength because it shows the explanation has some validity.
