what’s authoritarian personality
its dispositional explanation which suggest that obedience occurs due to internal traits such as personality type. and authoritarian people ten to Bev ever obedient espeicllay to an authority figure and they have extreme respect for them and are very submissive. they show contempt to those with lower status as they evolve they are worthless and beneath consideration and they believe there should be good, powerful leaders to enforce the traditional values such as love for country. and they are very inflexible in their outlook as they bilge everything is withe right or wrong. no in-between and its measure suing F-scale and its formed sue to the parents who have high standards and expectations from their children and those why raised their children form physical punishment and thew Ould only get rewarded or loved if they ddi something good which makes them grow to be more obedient.
how is a limitation of AP is tags it depends of level of education.
because milgram found out people with lower education tend to be more obedient compare to the particpants who have higher level if education. the is limitation because it suggest the level of education. has grater influence on obedience levels which therefore the AP as explanation of obedience lack validity.
how the limitation of AP is that its measured using the F scale
because a researcher describes it as a comic methodology error because its seriously flawed scale and participant can agree to all questions and have an authoritarian personality even though they don’t. this is a limitation because its shows AP is not a vlid explanation of obedient so therefore it lack’s validity.
who is the strength of AP is that its supported by a research.
Elms and milgram interviewed the participant who took place in the investigation and got 20 obedient participants to do the F scale ad part of the interview and they found they were more obedient compare to the 20 disobedient participants. this isa. strength because it show the AP explanation has some validity.
how is the limitation of Ap is that it’s over simplistic.
because milgram found out when the authority figure wore a uniform participants were in a proximity with authority figure and more likely to obey. this is a limitation because it shows situational variable have grater influence on obedience levels.
