this is because mRNA is a linear straight chain but tRNA has a clover leaf shape

• mRNA doesn’t have an amino acid binding site but tRNA does
• mRNA contains more nucleotide than tRNA because it is longer
• different mRNA’s have different lengths but all tRNA’s are the same length
• mRNA has codons and tRNA has anticodons
