What is something simple that can be done to help extend the life of firefighting nozzles?

A

What information should each FFer know about the nozzles they carry?

A

  2. Do you have a flush function on your nozzle gallonage selector, know flush function will allow for small bit of debris to pass.
  3. Know how many clicks in zero visibility to flush.
  4. Know which way to rotate the nozzle in zero visibility (right for fight, left for lobster).
  5. Have a quick mental checklist to run through in case of nozzle malfunction.
