Q

Chapter 16: Where is my water? p170

What is the advantage of laying out when responding with a ladder company? (do they mean lay in)??

A

The Engine can pull to the curb as the hydrant is wrapped, allowing the Ladder to pass and establish their preferred tactical position. The Engine can then establish a tactical position that will not hinder the Ladder.
