Q

What are the two types of cartilage formation and how do they work?

Q

Difference between territorial matrix and inter territorial?

A

Territorial stains darker, high in chondroitin sulfate, at periphery. Inter is bulk of matrix

Q

Three types of cartilage?

A

Hyaline- cushions articulate surfaces, bone templates.
Elastic cartilage-flexible, high in elastin
Fibrocartilage-looks like dense CT, no perichondrium. High collagen
