Bonnardot Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru, “La Garenne” 2011

A

Planted on predominently clay-chalk soils with stones, the vines average 70 years-old and come from .18ha; no herbicides are used, all work is done by hand. Hand-harvested beginning of September, long and gentle pressing; fermentation with ambient yeast over two months. Aged on lees for 22 months in 228L oak casks. Slight filtration. Practicing Organic. 12.5% Alc

Bonnardot Maranges “Sur Le Bois” 2013

A

Maranges covers three villages: Cheilly Les Maranges, Dezize Les Maranges and Sampigny Les Maranges. “Sur le Bois” is situated in Cheilly, in the middle of the hill where the vines are planted on stone, clay and limestone soils where the average age is 40 years-old on 1.3ha; no herbicides are used, all work is done by hand. Hand-harvested at the beginning of October with vinification in wooden tank, de-stemmed, 27 day maceration and one month of spontaneous fermentation. Aged on fine lees for one year in 228L oak casks (1-7 years old). No Filtration or fining. 12.2% Alc

Bonnardot Hautes Côtes de Beaune, “En Cheignot” 2013

A

The Hautes Côtes de Beaune is situated at a higher altitude (440m) than the Côte de Beaune, in the village of Orches. The vineyard is planted 50% with Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir on clay-chalk soils with stones and rocks interspersed and only encompasses 1ha. The vines average age is 40 years. Everything is done by hand, hand-harvested early October, manual sorting, long and gentle pressing; spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts over 10 months, resting on lees and aged for 12 months in 228L oak casks (4-6 years old). Light Filtration. Practicing Organic. 12% Alc

Bonnardot Hautes Côtes de Beaune Rouge 2014

A

The Hautes Côtes de Beaune is situated at a higher altitude (440m) than the Côte de Beaune, just above the Evelle hamlet. The vineyard is planted with 1/4 Chardonnay and with 3/4 Pinot Noir on clay-chalk soils with stones and rocks interspersed and only encompasses 1.5ha. The vines average 30 years old, hand-harvested early October with traditional Burgundian vinification in wooden tank with 50% of the grapes being de-stemmed. Maceration lasts 28 days with spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeast over one month. Aged for 11 months on the lees in 228L oak casks (1-8 years old); natural settling in barrel, no filtration or fining. Practicing Organic. 12.5% Alc

Bonnardot VdF, Chardonnay, “Molland” 2014

A

The grapes for the Molland come from vineyards in the Côte d’Or overlooking the Saône valley. The tiny plot (.4ha) is situated in the tiny village of Bonnencontre and is one of the last remaining plots of a vineyard that used to cover 120ha before phylloxera epidemic. The soils are clay based with silt and small pebbles, the average age of the vines are 40 years old; hand-harvested in beginning of September, long and gentle pressing of grapes with spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts over one month. Aged on lees for 8 months in 228L oak cask (5-12 years old), with natural settling before bottling. Practicing Organic.

Bonnardot Pommard 2013

A

Pommard is situated beside Beaune. The vines are around 50 year old and planted on stony clay-limestone soils and only totals .5ha. The parcel is surrounded with two stone walls in the middle of the hillside. Hand-harvested early October and only uses traditional Burgundian vinification in wooden tank where the grapes are 80% de-stemmed, spend 32 days macerating followed by spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts over one month. Aged on fine lees for 11 months and aged for 12 months in 228L oak casks (1-6 years old); no filtration or fining. Practicing Sustainable/Organic. 12.5% Alc

Bonnardot Santenay Rouge 2014

A

Santeney is situated in the south of Côte de Beaune, the plot is in a place named Les Saunières and is joined at the top by the 1er Cru Clos Rousseau. The vines average around 45 years old and are planted in clay-chalk and stony soils. Hand-harvested mid-September and uses traditional Burgundian vinification in wooden tank where the grapes are 50% de-stemmed, with maceration lasting 25 days followed by spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts over one month. Aged for 12 months on lees in 228L oak casks (1-6 years old). No filtration or fining. Practicing Organic. 12.5% Alc

A

Saint Jean is the name of the old church in Santenay le Haut and was built in 1220. The parcel is characterized by a stony hill that naturally drains. The vines are planted on clay-chalk stony soils and average around 40 years old on .3ha. Hand-harvested in mid-September, long and gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts over two months. Aged for 12 months on lees in 228L oak casks (1-6 years old). A

Santeney is situated in the south of Côte de Beaune, the two plots are situated in the middle of the Clos Rousseau and were acquired in 2005. Each plot is delineated at the top and bottom by stone walls with a noticeable slope. The vines are planted on clay-chalky soils with many stones and average around 45 years old within .2ha. Hand-harvested in mid-September and using only traditional Burgundian vinification in wooden tanks where the grapes are completely de-stemmed; 27 day maceration followed by spontaneous fermentation with ambient yeasts over one month. Aged on fine lees for 12 months in 228L oak casks (1-6 years old). No filtration or fining. Practicing Organic. 12.5% Alc
