Inflammation is caused by an insect bite/sting but should resolve on its own within a couple days

Piriton - reduce allergic reaction, 1 tablet every 4-6 hours, max 6 tablets per day
Savlon gel - antiseptic, reduces infection for broken stings, apply 3-4 times per day

Use insect repellent sprays when in areas likely to get bitten
Cover skin with trousers and long-sleeved tops
Avoid scratching the area - increases risk of infection
Apply cool damp flannel area
Elevate area if swollen
Keep area clean
