Q

What does the brachial artery bifurcate into? Also state the names of the anastomoses branches

A

Bifurcates into the ulnar artery - anastomses is the superficial palmer arch

And the radial artery - anastomoses is the deep palmer arch

Q

What is the purpose of anastomoses?

Q

What are the two types of veins and where are they found?

A

Deep veins - accompany arteries
Superficial veins - lie just beneath the skin in the superficial fascia. Drain into deep veins and are tributaries of deep veins

Q

What are the branches of the PNS and what are their roles?

A

Somatic = touch, pressure, pain, sensory. Made up of afferent and efferent neurones (sensory and motor)
Autonomic = made of parasympathetic and sympathetic, fight vs flight
