treatment for rosacea
- cooling
- laser therapy
- intense pulse light therapy
- avoid triggers
- topical ivermectin
- metronidazole
- azelaic acid
- niacinamide adjunct
- tetracycline/doxy for severe cases
- low dose isotretinoin for severe cases
etiology of acne vulgaris
gradual onset around puberty, aggravated by hormones, can be medication induced
etiology of rosacea
chronic hyperplasia of connective tissue, genetic predisposition, dysregulation of immune/neurovascular system
onest in women: 40s
onset in men: 50s
