Warts
-HPV thru skin
-months to year w/o tx
Refer warts when
-growth is not a wart
-wart on face or genitals
-MANY warts
-warts itch, burn, bledd, hurt
-weak immune system
-diabetes
Wart tx
-salicylic acid (liq or patch)
-tape
-OTC cryotherapy
Corns/calluses
-dead skin hardened by friction, often ill-fitting shoes
-callus: anywhere and large
-corn: small, tops and side of toes or balls of feet

-soak in warm water 5-10 mintues
-file/scrape
-moisturize
-change shoes
-clip toenails
Athlete’s Foot
-fungal infection
-lead to erosions, ulcers, malodor, secondary infections
When to refer athlete’s foot
-recurrent
-failed tx
-expansive infection
-genitalia
