Depression can be a cause and anxiety may also play a role in sexual dysfunction. Lack of focus and fatigue may also be two other important factors.

How might disease related factors play a role in sexual dysfunction?

A

endocrine problems, such as low estrogen levels can cause sexual dysfunction. Autonomic neuropathy, from diabetes mellitus, can cause retrograde ejaculation. Vascular problems can also cause problems with blood flow to the arteries of the genitals.

A

excessive alcohol is a major player, and other recreational drugs (marijuana cocaine) can lead to it as well. Anti hypertensive drugs can do this too.
