Q

What is the sequence of events to orgasm in men?

A
  1. Respirations increase
  2. Heart rate and BP increase
  3. Penis engorges to full capacity with blood.
  4. Corona and penis head get real big.
  5. Cowper’s gland makes a small amt of precum that drips out
  6. Contractions of vas deferens, seminal vesicles and prostate
  7. This is when you have ejaculatory inevitability—even if you stop stimulation you’re still gonna burst.
  8. Urethra contracts
  9. Perineal and penile base muscles contract
  10. Ejaculation
  11. Resolution
  12. Cigarette.

Q

What are the 2 functions of the fluid that enters the vaginal cavity in female arousal?

A

The fluid acts like a lubricant for the penis.

Q

What is the sequence of physiological events that occurs pre-orgasm in women?

A
  1. Arousal
  2. On arousal and breasts and areola enlarge because of vasocongestion. Nipples erect.
  3. Clitoris enlarges and becomes more sensitive.
  4. The labia major may become thinner by muscle contraction if the woman is nulliparous (hasn’t had a kid yet). It may become a lot bigger if the woman is multiparous (vaginal clown car).
    a. The labia minora in all women gets real big.
  5. Inner portion of the vagina balloons to form a receptacle for semen. Uterus engorges and lifts upward.
  6. Right before orgasm the clitoris turns up 180 degrees and retracts behind the symphysis pubis
