3-14 Intermedio Flashcards
I think it’s a good movie overall.
Creo que es una película, en conjunto, buena.
But, well, this [f. noun] is the prequel, let’s say, of the one we now have on the big screen.
Pero, bueno, esta es la precuela, digamos, de la que tenemos ahora en la gran pantalla.
I recommend it [f. noun] to you because it is different from the new one, and well, and it gives… it contributes to another vision, let’s say, of Che’s identity.
os la recomiendo porque es diferente de la nueva, y bueno, y da… aporta a otra visión, digamos, de la identidad del Che.
Although he is Mexican, his Argentine accent in the film is very convincing and when he played the part of a Spaniard in Bad Education, his Spanish accent was also impeccable.
Aunque él es mexicano, su acento argentino en la película es muy convincente y cuando hizo el papel de un español en Mala Educación, su acento español también fue impecable. (Hacer el papel = to play the part/ to play the role; Aunque = although/ even if/ despite; Aunque + el presente = speaker presents a fact and implies that the information is new to the listener; Aunque + subjunctive = 1. To give background on info known to both the speaker and listener, or 2. To refer to something that may or may not happen in the future)
He may be exaggerating a little bit.
Puede que esté exagerando una pizca. (Una pizca = a pinch/ a dash/ a little bit)
I don’t believe it / I can’t believe it
¡No me lo puedo creer!
Not even you believe that!
¡(Eso) no te lo crees ni tú!
