Purpose of CISM
A
Critical incident stress management is a program intended to assist members and coping with personal and job related effects of what they have experienced. The emphasis of CISM is to prevent and recognize the effects of stress before impacts the health safety personalized and or job performance of those who perform public safety related work.

The CISMT coordinator is responsible, when notified of an incident, to contact the Martin County CISMT leaders and agency CISMT members for activating a response
