Who can conduct strip search?

A strip search shall be performed by a person of the same gender as the arrested person in an allocation where the search cannot be observed by person is not physically conducting or observing the search pursuant to this section. Any observer shall be at the same gender as the arrested person.

A body cavity search must be performed by medically, trained personnel under discreet and sanitary conditions at the local hospital. Any observer shall be of the same gender as the arrested person.
