After the company officer has control of the situation, the Company Officer will:
These pertain to incidents that involve civilian altercations of any kind, theft, actions, or inactions that compromise station security and or in result in injury.
- make notifications: BC and WPBPD
- ensure medical treatment if provided if applicable
- identify any additional witnesses to incident
- company officer will ensure that photos are printed and attached to the packet as applicable
- ensure letters from all FD personnel involved in the incident are completed on department letter head and signed; explaining the situation and occurrences that led to incident
- company officer will write a separate report of the incident listing all involved employees, what took place and how it could have been avoided.
- a copy of the day’s roster will also be attached.

- the BC shall gain contact info of civilian personnel and or witnesses if involved and documented statements made by civilians.
- the BC shall ensure the company officer has completed the above mentioned items and forward the above listed info to the assistant chief of operations as a complete packet.
- ensure the employees involved about possibility of an investigation to follow and keep situation confidential; pending an investigation
- evaluate if employee needs to be relieved or temporarily reassigned to another station; consult the assistant chief of operations if needed.
