Priorities of RIC
-Locating down, missing or trapped firefighters
-Using audible alarms for PASS devices and communicating via portable radio if possible
- providing air support via RIC-Pak or SCBA
- Advising command of location to establish protection is provided with a hose line.
- Size-up rescue needs and call for advanced extrication (air bags, heavy hydraulics, etc.) needed.
What does the RIC do prior to activation?
Perform a 360 of the building to get a general layout of the structure.
