Why do you use porn, instead of other things, as a buffer?
You’ve trained your brain to do so.

- Alcohol
- Drugs

Why don’t buffers work (2 reasons)?
- The negative emotion that you are running from typically comes back stronger after the buffer.
- The urge to buffer will be stronger the next time.
