- Consists of 2 digit main code & 2 digit sub code
- Max of 5 codes
- When codes are added, oldest non active code dropped

How do you enter into the diagnostic mode?
1995/1996-2006/2009: press display twice
2016 Pierce: press display five times
2000-2003: press up and down at same time twice
How do you exit the diagnostic mode?
1995-2003 hold mode button for 10 seconds
2006-2009- hold for 3 seconds
2016 -press momentarily until range display appears
turn off ignition
diagnostic mode will self terminate after ten minutes of inactivity
Transmission fluid info:
Too low= converter or clutch does not receive adequate supply of fluid
too high- fluid can aerate (cause shifting erractically or overheat)
Defined as severe service should be changed

What are some indication that water and/or glycol is in the fluid?
Rust or spited trans parts
Oil spewing out of the breather
Oil in the radiator
Gasket blistered/ wrinkled in uncompressed areas
Water in oil/cloudy or gray, pink or strawberry color

How do you check the trans fluid level?
Park on level surface, N, parking brakes
1995/1995, 2006 -2009= press display mode button once
2000-2003= press up and down arrow buttons once
to exit: press button until you return to the gear
