no it is not the same as parental status - that is permanent to the parents - unless resigned by courts

Can a step parent receive parental responsibility without the agreement of the divorced parent?
No. Unless the courts rule it for the safety of the child
What is assent?
The agreement of someone who doesn’t have consentual rights.
- in the case of children they must have enough maturity to do so
What is voluntary euthanasia?
where the person has a specific request - this may be for DNR
What is non-voluntary euthanasia?
where the patient can not express their wishes and needs a legal proxy to speak on their behalf known their views.
What is involuntary euthanasia?
Where it does not involve the patient or the proxy and may be through the courts.
What is the “double effect”?
where doing one intervention may help but also bring the patient closer to death - such as analgesic use
