Uterine sarcoma
Two types of uterine sarcoma:
*Leiomyosarcoma
*Endometrial Stromal
Sarcoma
Forms in the muscular layer of the uterus or
myometrium.
Leiomyosarcoma
Forms in supporting connective tissue of the uterus; can be low-grade or high-grade.
Endometrial Stromal
Sarcoma
Begins in the inner lining of the uterus or
endometrium.
Endometrial Carcinoma
The most common type of uterine cancer,
about 95% of all uterine cancer cases.
Endometrial carcinoma
Cancerous cells are only found in the uterus.
Stage 1
The cancer has spread to the cervix
Stage II
The cancer has spread outside the uterus to the nearby lymph nodes, ovaries, fallopian tubes, or vagina.
Stage III
The cancer has spread to the bladder, rectum, or outside the pelvis, such as the lungs or abdomen.
Stage IV
blocks estrogen-driven proliferation and inhibits
cancer growth
Magestrol acetate
helps block tumor blood supply and cancer growth
