Adaptive Physical Fitness (APF) is a
diversified psychomotor and educational approach in which teaching styles and activities are modified to ensure success for each individual.
The role of an exercise intervention for chronic conditions is to
increase functional fitness without exacerbating existing conditions.
The goal of an adaptive fitness session for a client with a disability is
improved fitness, mobility, and self-efficacy.
