What do Curl-Ups consist of?

A

Have your arms crossed and bring your elbows to the thigh and back in 60 seconds.
- Partial (Arms forward and have your fingers touch your knees and back to a cadence)

What does the Shuttle Run consist of?

A

Have two lines that are 30 feet apart. Start at the starting line and run to the other line to pick up the 1st object. Run back and then do the process again for the 2nd object.

What does the V-Sit Reach consist of?

A

Get a yardstick and measure the correct distance. Put your feet in a “V” shape 8-12 inches apart. Put your hands together and reach 3 times. On your 4th time hold for 3 seconds and measure in the nearest 1/2 inch.
- Sit and Reach (Have a box at 23 centimeters at your feet, reach 3 times and hold the 4th. Measure to nearest centimeter)

A

Run on a flat area that’s a designated mile holding a light-numbered object that won’t slow you down.

What do Pull-Ups consist of?

A

Have a bar 1.5 inches in diameter, and hang freely in an over/underhand position. Pull up until chin reaches the bar and then go back down to the hanging position. Count the number executed properly.
- Right-Angle Push Up (go down to 90 degrees and back up to a metronome, keeping your legs and back straight)
- Flexed Arm Hang (Use an over/underhand grip with your chin above the bar. Round to the nearest second)

What are the basic rules of exercise?

A
  • Exercise at least 3 times a week
  • Warm up beforehand
  • 20 minute conditioning with a 5-10 minute cooldown
  • Use all but the V-Sit Reach in your conditioning
  • Use the V-Sit Reach during your warm-ups/cool-downs
