decreased TSH: increase thyroid hormones

generic vs brand
brand you need to prove effectiveness and safety with your patent that lasts 12 years, you need to complete research which lasts 8-10 years, this is why brand names are more expensive because they are trying to make revenue in a short time
to make a generic you need to prove bio equality which requires less time and less research and less money
controversy: pharmacies will order the cheapest generic and the generics can vary 80-120% from the brand so your weekly dose will be a different percent and since the half life is so long there is no way of fine tuning the drug percent in body
