Thresholds Of Training Flashcards

1
Q

Why do we have thresholds for training

A
  • Thresholds set levels for people to train at that are effective but safe.
  • Woking below the threshold will have little impact on improving fitness and work done above could cause injury

Q

How do I find my aerobic training threshold?

A

60% of 205 = 0.6 x 205
= 123bpm

A
  1. Find your resting heart rate (RHR)
  2. Find your maximum heart rate (MHR)
  3. MHR - RHR
  4. Find 60% and 80% of of thus number
