Aerobic And Anaerobic Flashcards

1
Q

Where is glucose stored ?

A

Glucose is stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen. This can be converted back to glucose for the use of doing exercise.

Q

How does lactic acid effect your body ?

A

Lactic acid is toxic as it makes your muscles ache meaning you cramp up . This means you cannot carry on with your sport.Whilst having a break your body is going through oxygen debt meaning that your body needs to pay oxygen back.

Q

Aerobic exercise

A

Working at a moderate intensity allowing the moderate intensity allowing the body time to utilise oxygen for energy production and to work for a continuous period , e,g long distance events .
