Antibiotic
A medicine (such as penicillin or its derivatives) that inhibits the growth of or destroys microorganisms
Antidote
A medicine taken or given to counteract a particular poison
Antihistamine
A drug or other compound that inhibits the physiological effects of used esp. in the treatment of allergies
Antioxidant
A substance that inhibits oxidation, esp. one used to counteract the deterioration of stored food products
Antipathy
A deep-seated feeling of dislike; aversion
Antiseptic
of, relating to, or denoting substances that prevent the growth of disease-causing microorganisms
Antithesis
A person or thing that is the direct opposite of someone or something else
