Testing Muscles (arm) Flashcards

1
Q

how can you test the function of the biceps brachii and its innervation

A

biceps depp tendon reflex
nerve supply= musculocutaneous nerve C5 and C6

placing the thumb on the biceps tendon (within cubital fossa)and then striking thumb with a tendon hammer, will cause contraction and stretch at the elbow

Q

what is the innervation of the forearm muscles

A

all median nerve except flexor carpi ulnaris (digits 4 and 5) and the median part of flexor digitorum profundus which are supplied by the ulnar nerve
